The stone pictured at the left is gem silica(also known as drusy chrysocolla).  It is a crystal I rarely see, although I look for it whenever I buy stones.  This stone comes from Peru, one of my favorite places on Earth.  Like the country, from which it originates, this gem silica is a stone that is pure heart. 

It activates the higher heart center where we can access our own connection with Divine energy.  It is a good stone to use when doing healing work with someone in a spiritual crisis.  Gem silica is also an excellent mineral to use to create a more peaceful and balanced energy in your space.

Dioptase is another mineral you will find in the Collector’s Corner.  These particular specimens are some of the finest I have seen in a long time, with well-defined crystals of deep green.  This stone is a copper containing silicate hydroxide, and these particular stones come from Kazakhstan. 

This mineral promotes a sense of fun and play, reminding us not to be too serious all the time.  It stimulates the imagination and promotes creativity that comes when the heart is light.  Dioptase also connects us to the faery realm, and the faery relatives of hummingbird and dragonfly.  On the physical level, copper containing minerals are very cleansing.

Phenacite (also spelled phenakite), is a beryllium silicate.  The specimen I have included in this group of rocks and minerals is from Moguk, Burma (Myanmar).  This is one of the highest vibration minerals I have worked with.  This crystal elevates all who use it, so that they can see their own truth.  It opens your vision and helps you to live from a place of peace, at one with all things.  It is a stone that works with cosmic consciousness.

Phenacite is a powerful crystal for manifestation.  It will bring about changes that come from your highest wisdom and mastery.  It is about evolution and growth beyond the struggle of the everyday world.  When you meditate with this stone, it quiets the mind so that pure wisdom can be seen, heard, felt or known.  As a caveat, if there is anything that needs to be cleared before this wisdom can be felt, this crystal will bring it to the forefront.  It is a “be careful what you ask for” stone.

As I sat, the diopside found its way onto my throat chakra and once there, began to open it like a vortex, front to back.  It felt as if I could finally take a deep breath after the last few months and just relax into the present moment.

I held the stone for a little longer on my throat, and I could feel deep truths surfacing from my heart space.  The energy and courage to look at my own truth, to observe (without attachmant or trying to “fix” anything), and to accept the place I am in right now, was the message.  To speak from that heart space without fear is one of the gifts of this stone.  It opens the channel from heart to voice, and takes away any resistance to speaking from a place of truth.

As I sit in a place of calm acceptance, the stone hot in my hand, I am looking forward to working more with this diopside.  I sense that I have only scratched the surface of what can be done with it.

          In this class we will open and create a safe and sacred space for you to connect with higher guidance and offer it to the group.  Whether you have been opening up on your own and need a context for what is happening, or have been receiving guidance for a long time, this class will provide a place to develop and share the channeling experience.

You can see and feel the essence of this flow as you work with these stones.  There is no other stone, in my humble opinion, that feels better on the body than tourmaline. 

Watermelon tourmaline is a stone of heart healing on many levels.  Like its growth pattern, it will penetrate deeply and get into those empty places, filling them with a feeling of peace, that grows gradually and completely into loving presence, leaving its imprint whether you are wearing/carrying it or not.  Watermelon tourmaline in particular, is a great balancing stone masculine (green) to feminine (pink).  It clears the emotional wounds caused by these elements being out of balance within the individual.

These stones remind us of the beauty that surrounds us and supports us from deep within the Earth.  They radiate joy and peace that goes beyond our brain and straight into our hearts.  They are a reminder of our own beauty which reveals itself layer by layer to the world around us.

In the physical realm, my impression is that Merlinite works with the bones and all matters structural.  It rebuilds foundations.  It is a good stone for diagnostic work on the physical body.

On a more emotional level, it assists in going deeply into areas where emotional pain and sadness is held.  It will be a great stone for shadow work, and the release of old pain.  This is not a stone for those who do not want to delve into the depths of their own healing.  Merlinite helps us know that within those dark places inside of us, is the glowing light of our own soul, doing the work/play of experiencing life to the fullest.

Spiritually, this stone, like its name implies will connect you to those ancestors and guides - whether archtypal, like Merlin, or of your own spiritual lineage - who will most benefit you in gaining insight, deep wisdom, and a plan of action if you choose.  Or a plan of integration into higher planes of existence while still on this Earth and beyond.

Merlinite is not a stone to be taken lightly.  It is for those who understand the depth of life that is missing from our current collective reality and the desire to return to a deep connection with Earth and ancestral wisdom.  That part of the old that bridges into the sparkling new dawn.

Some of this information even seems conflicting, and all of it may be right in the moment , and from the perspective it is given.  It is important to simply use it as data, feel the resonance or not, and then let it move through you as a flow.  Use it to come to a place of calm.

The dictionary defines synthesis as:  “a) the composition or combination of parts or elements so as to form a whole; b) the combining of often diverse conceptions into a coherent whole; or c) the dialectic combination of thesis and antithesis into a higher state of truth.” To that I have added my own observation that it is the union of opposites into the One – something we can feel but not think our way into.

At the same time I say this, there is the knowledge that one can’t get caught up in the definition of things anymore – just observe and feel the things that are most resonant for you, and allow them to provide clarity in the moment.  As information moves through your understanding, it becomes unique to you, and synthesizes with your understanding of the world.  Evolving and growing…

My best heart understanding of this is:  Synthesis is the coming together of the All – many paths and traditions coming together to Create.  Even as these words form on the page, they stop the flow.  True synthesis is seeing beyond all paths and traditions to the truth of what is in the moment.  This truth cannot be contained within a belief structure, it can only be felt as a wide open space of Love.

It has movement as water has movement, and any attempt to contain it results in stagnation and limitation.

How do we work with this?  Right now we are all releasing the old patterning that has kept our very physicality in form.  This is not something to fear.  New ways of forming and re-forming are available to us in the spaces of Love, of pure sound, of crystalline energy.

There is nothing to do in this moment but be comfortable within the breath, move your physical body as much as possible, and remain in your feeling space as much as possible.  The words “I Am” will also have a power to move and change things.

We are all integrating the vast multidimensional vibration that we have named the Higher Self.  The more we can feel and access that resonance, and not name it, the easier it will be to move within this energy.  The river is moving swiftly now, gathering up the waters from everywhere, and flowing into the great ocean of Being.  Our ability to flow with the current rests in the awareness of the synthesis of all paths and vibrations into one Whole.  This is done together, each one (I Am) recognizing the sovereignty of the other.  Each one seeing in the other’s eyes themselves (God/dess).

On a purely technical level, Morganite is from the beryl family.  Related minerals include aquamarine, emerald, heliodor and goshenite.  Its pink color comes from an ion of manganese included in the mineral.  It can be found growing together with aquamarine, and these stones are lovely (and a bit out of my price range). 

But technicalities are not what excite me about Morganite.  It is the love energy - pure and simple.  As I hold the stone it is not so much speaking to me as vibrating this feel-good energy throughout my body.  It is filled with rainbows and a kind of nurturing energy that comes straight from the heart of love with no strings attached.  It is a sense of nurture that is from a neutral place.  It fills up all the spaces where longing resides within, and makes me feel complete even as I progress along my path. 

When I hold this stone, it sings.  I am challenged to find my voice within this love.  It imparts such a feeling of joy that words seem mundane and inadquate.  I know deep in my heart that things are as they are.  Nothing out of place, nothing inharmonious within the symphony of Now. 

Morganite is a stone of wholeness.  It is an excellent stone to use to get in touch with your own heart and its whisperings.  I wonder, as I sit with it, if it will bring up things that are not in resonance with wholeness.  Is there really anything in this life experience that is not in resonance with wholeness?  I can only smile, breathe and gaze at the beauty in my hand.  There are rainbows all over the room.  I am bathed in light and beauty.

Although I have always been fascinated by rocks, and their beauty, when I first began to discover the energetics of crystals, I was told to buy stones for each chakra color.  I put them in a small circle next to my bed and each morning I would notice which one caught my eye - that was the stone I would carry with me during the day. 

Slowly I began to be able to distinguish the subtle differences between the crystals.  After taking my first crystal class, I started to place them on my body in different ways, which further increased my understanding of their magic.  This collection of chakra stones contains some of the basic stones used in crystal healing.  While they are not rare, they are used regularly for a reason - they work.  The stones included in this set are:

Garnet - 1st chakra.  This stone energizes, regenerates and grounds you.  It provides good support for the issues of survival and fear.  It is also very protective.
Carnelian - 2nd chakra.  Activates the 2nd chakra, helps to develop and enhance creativity.  It is warming and energizing and is a good detoxifier.
Citrine - 3rd chakra.  A stone of power and wealth, this crystal helps us connect to our own power in a balanced way.  Helps to overcome mental blocks and allows prosperity to flow.
Rose Quartz - 4th chakra.  This is an excellent heart stone which promotes self-love and the love of humanity.  Opens the heart to receiving love.  Creates a peaceful field.
Aquamarine - 5th chakra.  Opens the throat and encourages self-expression and the use of our creativity.  Aligns the physical and spiritual realms.
Iolite - 6th chakra.  A stone of vision, both physical and spiritual, this stone aids in meditation, giving the ability to “see clearly”.
Danburite - 7th chakra.  A stone of transformation, danburite has a high vibration, connecting you to higher guidance and the angelic realms.  Allows a huge amount of light energy.

Practical Suggestions

Garnet - This will increase the energy flow between you and the Earth.  In addition to using this on the first chakra, you can place it with any of the other stones to enhance and amplify their energy.

Carnelian - Use this stone on the second chakra, and place the aquamarine on the throat.  This not only opens up your creativity, it allows for the free expression of it.  When placing the stones on your body, leave them on for as long as you feel comfortable.  If a stone rolls off it is finished for that session.

Citrine - Use this stone on the solar plexus to warm and energize the body.  It is a good stone to use when connecting to your own internal strength in a balanced way.  You can also use it to balance the upper and lower chakras, and to integrate higher spiritual awareness into the physical plane.

Rose Quartz - Place or wear this stone on the heart to open yourself to more trust and love in your life.  Using this stone regularly will gently release old emotional issues and allow you to begin the process of self love, which is essential in finding the love that is available all around you.

Aquamarine - This is good to use with the rose quartz to calm and relieve stress on all levels.  Aquamarine is also good to wear when speaking to allow an easy flow of words, in a calm and clear manner.

Iolite - To open up the 3rd eye, place and iolite on the brow and a rose quartz on your heart.  This will begin to open you to your own vision.  Iolite will also bring clear vision.  To become more confident of your intuitive and spiritual nature, place an iolite on the 3rd eye, aquamarine on the throat and a citrine on the solar plexus.

Danburite - This stone is good to hold while in meditation.  It creates a field of white light around you, and opens a channel to the Divine light.  It can also be placed at the crown or 3rd eye to open to spiritual guidance and information.
