Tangerine Quartz and Celestite

I just put up some new additions to a couple of my favorite healing crystals.  There are certain stones that are old favorites for a reason - their healing abilities are strong, clear and powerful.  Two of these stones are Tangerine Quartz and Celestite.

Tangerine Quartz is a staple in my healing tool kit.  I use it all the time for clearing and energizing the second chakra.  This is a place where fear is held for many people.  The second chakra is a place of old wounds which, if not cleared, can hinder us from leading the full creative lives we were born to live.

This quartz also clears the etheric field of debris, such as negative energy or thought patterns, and many of the “shoulds” that are placed on us by ourselves and others.

When using tangerine quartz for second chakra work, simply place it on the chakra and allow it to clear and regenerate the energy of this place on your body.  If old fears or emotions come up during this time, realize that they are moving through to clear, and they can pass without any attachment on your part.  (Obviously, if there is deep trauma, this should be done with a trained healer or therapist.)

To clear the etheric field, you will need another person to work with you.  This technique is best done lying down.  Have the second person visualize a transparent piece of graph paper over the body, and begin to move the crystal in a grid-like pattern through your energy field 2 - 4 inches from your body.  If done correctly, you will feel an energizing and regenerative energy.  The person holding the crystal will feel a slight pulling or tugging when the crystal is moving at the correct distance from the body.

This crystal has a very calming effect as well as being deeply restorative.  If used on a regular basis, it can re-connect you with the joy of being a fully creative and expressive being, while staying firmly connected to your physical body.  When you use this stone, you will need to clear it on a regular basis.  This can be done by many different ways, but running it under cold water is one good way.

Celestite on the other hand, is a great stone for meditation.  It moves us out of the body and into more celestial realms.  I use this stone to connect with the angelic realm.  It is also tremendously calming in times of stress.

By gazing into its many-faceted beauty, you can begin to feel calmer and more centered.

If you want to go into a deeper meditation, use your Celestite and a candle (if you like) and increase your focus into the crystal.  Before you begin, ask for your angel or guide to be present and known to you in whatever way you perceive energy (visual, auditory, empathic, etc.).  You may also have a specific question in mind when you begin your meditation.

Once you have asked your guide or angel to be with you, gaze deeply into the crystal and use it as a focus for your mind.  Breathe naturally and stay in a relaxed state.  Celestite creates a field that is quite magical.  Before too long, you will begin to feel or see angelic presence.  You may want to have a pen and paper handy to write down thoughts or impressions that seem to come out of nowhere.

Angelic guidance can be very subtle.  It is not necessarily a “Hollywood production moment”.  If you are still and focused, you will begin to perceive guidance.  It will come as a feeling or whisper maybe, or a picture you can sketch.  Be patient with this process.  If you are consistent, the guidance is always there.  Use your celestite to connect more easily with it.

Lithium Quartz

Take a look at the lithium quartz I just added here the other day.  I have been wanting to add these stones for awhile now, however, they keep selling out at the shows I do.  I have a good stock of them in right now so I am featuring them here. These stones are very calming and balancing, that is why I believe they are so popular right now.  When I meditated with this stone, I was given a slightly different, although compatible, use for them.  I am offering this information as an addition to many of the things written about this stone in other places.

For quite a few years now, much of the focus of my work and my teachings has centered around opening the heart chakra in many different ways.  In the course of this work, I have discovered a type of “heart lock” that is present in many of the people I treat.  It has a surprisingly similar look to it from person to person.  This meditation with the lithium quartz gave me the following information which I want to share with you.  I am putting it in quotes because it is the guidance from the crystal spirit itself.

“Fertile ground will open once the heart has cleared.  You do not need to wait for this to begin to plant the seeds of opening, do it now.  Water the seeds with your tears, not only tears of grief, although these are fine, but tears of understanding and flow.  These are the seeds of a new way of being.  Balance and love are the ground, contained within the heart.  As your heart begins to release and open, all of its old locks, you will find yourself moving effortlessly into new space.  This is the inner space and will be reflected in what occurs and evolves on the outside.  Sit in this new space in stillness and have faith.  It is growing and expanding quickly.”

Here is a layout that may be helpful.  It can be placed on the body, or arranged similarly in an area where you live, work, or sleep.  Many of the grids we work with can be effective both on and off the body.

Place a larger lithium quartz at the heart chakra.  Use 5 smaller ones to surround it.  You may substitute the 5 smaller stones with rose quartz or morganite.  Direct the points of the smaller stones inward.  At the feet place a smoky quartz or black tourmaline, and at the head your most expansive and highest vibration stone (ex. herkimer diamond, apophyllite or a stone of particular resonance for you personally).

Once the grid is in place, allow it to remain for 5 or 10 minutes, then gently pull off the center lithium quartz, visualizing/feeling that you are pulling off a weight from that space.  You may want to replace the stone you have removed with a rose quartz, morganite, or kunzite for a few moments to allow loving energy to replace or fill the space that has been opened.

If you are using this layout to grid your space, simply allow it to fill the space with loving energy, and when you are called to focus on it, just let your attention go to your heart, feeling it open.

Be gentle and non-judgmental with yourself as you do this process, and let the calm and balancing energy of the lithium-infused quartz to work with any emotions that may arise.

As I experienced this layout/grid for myself, I received an amazing feeling of calm and opening.  I heard my guides whisper to me “relax, we have your back.  You are safe in this space of openness.” I felt myself let go and melt into the mat on the floor.  An interesting side note: very early in the meditation, one of the small lithiums fell off, leaving me with only 4 smaller stones surrounding the larger one on my heart.  When I asked later, I was told that 4 or 5 small stones is a personal thing.  You may want to experiment and see what feels best for you.

Collector’s Corner

Be sure to check out the new Collectors category here at Spirit Dancer.  Many times there are rocks and minerals that are so fine, I just can’t pass them up.  I may not be able to buy a large quantity, however, they are stones I feel drawn to for their beauty, rarity and/or energy.

The stone pictured at the left is gem silica(also known as drusy chrysocolla).  It is a crystal I rarely see, although I look for it whenever I buy stones.  This stone comes from Peru, one of my favorite places on Earth.  Like the country, from which it originates, this gem silica is a stone that is pure heart.

It activates the higher heart center where we can access our own connection with Divine energy.  It is a good stone to use when doing healing work with someone in a spiritual crisis.  Gem silica is also an excellent mineral to use to create a more peaceful and balanced energy in your space.

Dioptase is another mineral you will find in the Collector’s Corner.  These particular specimens are some of the finest I have seen in a long time, with well-defined crystals of deep green.  This stone is a copper containing silicate hydroxide, and these particular stones come from Kazakhstan.

This mineral promotes a sense of fun and play, reminding us not to be too serious all the time.  It stimulates the imagination and promotes creativity that comes when the heart is light.  Dioptase also connects us to the faery realm, and the faery relatives of hummingbird and dragonfly.  On the physical level, copper containing minerals are very cleansing.

Phenacite (also spelled phenakite), is a beryllium silicate.  The specimen I have included in this group of rocks and minerals is from Moguk, Burma (Myanmar).  This is one of the highest vibration minerals I have worked with.  This crystal elevates all who use it, so that they can see their own truth.  It opens your vision and helps you to live from a place of peace, at one with all things.  It is a stone that works with cosmic consciousness.

Phenacite is a powerful crystal for manifestation.  It will bring about changes that come from your highest wisdom and mastery.  It is about evolution and growth beyond the struggle of the everyday world.  When you meditate with this stone, it quiets the mind so that pure wisdom can be seen, heard, felt or known.  As a caveat, if there is anything that needs to be cleared before this wisdom can be felt, this crystal will bring it to the forefront.  It is a “be careful what you ask for” stone.

These are just a few of the new crystal specimens up on the Collector’s Corner page.  To go there now click here.
